Booking and payment
How is a booking confirmed?
The request form on the website is a preliminary booking. Our team checks vehicle availability and confirms by phone or WhatsApp within 30 minutes; the booking becomes final with that confirmation.
Do I need to pay on the website?
Only if you want to. If you choose "Pay online now" in the last step, you pay by credit or debit card on iyzico's secure page (3D Secure, instalment options); card details never reach AfiCar. With "Pay at handover" you pay when you collect the car. In both cases the deposit is taken as a pre-authorization on your credit card.
What are the cancellation and change terms?
Free cancellation and changes up to 48 hours before the pickup time. For later cancellations and no-shows, one day of rental is charged.
Documents and driver requirements
Which documents are required?
A Turkish ID card or passport, a valid driving license and a credit card in the name of the driver. Foreign nationals need an international driving permit or a notarized translation.
What are the age and license requirements?
Economy: age 21 with 2 years of license; Comfort 23/3; SUV and Van 25/3; Premium 27/5. Drivers aged 21–24 may rent Economy class only, with a young driver fee of 400 ₺ per day.
Can I add an additional driver?
Yes; an additional driver can be added for 250 ₺ per day. The additional driver must meet the same age, license and document requirements.
Fees and mileage
What are the mileage limit and the excess mileage fee?
500 km/day on daily rentals, 4,000 km/month on monthly rentals. Excess mileage is 5 ₺ per km.
How much are the delivery and night fees?
Esenler office free; Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gökçen 1,500 ₺; European side address delivery 750 ₺, Asian side 1,000 ₺ (one way). At locations other than the office, a 500 ₺ night fee is added between 22:00 and 07:00.
What is the fuel policy?
The vehicle is returned with the same fuel level as at pickup. Missing fuel is charged at market price plus a 500 ₺ service fee.
Insurance, damage and fines
What happens in case of an accident or damage?
All vehicles are fully insured. An accident report and, where required, an alcohol test report are obtained; the liability of the renter is limited to the deposit amount for the class. If Super CDW was selected, the excess is zero.
How are HGS tolls and traffic fines charged?
Vehicles are fitted with an HGS toll tag; toll crossings and parking fees during the rental period are charged against receipts with a 10% service fee, while traffic fines are passed on to the renter as is.
Can I take the vehicle abroad?
No, rental vehicles may not be taken abroad. Use within Turkey is unrestricted; vehicles are equipped with a GPS tracking system for security purposes.
